United Patients Alliance – Humble Beginnings

To legalise or not to legalise? That is the question everyone’s asking about cannabis. A green revolution is spreading across the UK where local communities and campaign groups are fighting to legalise medical marijuana.  The United Patients Alliance is one such group holding events throughout the country. Recently, they were in Birmingham to raise awareness on the medicinal use of the illegal plant. Sandhya Iyer reports.

Recreational Users Vs. Medicinal Users

The Cannabis Legalisation petition has attracted over 210,000 signatures and forced MPs to debate on the subject in Parliament. October 12 is the date when thousands of patients will be eager to hear what local MPs have to say. It is unclear if there is a future for legalisation and whether or not it will be specific to medicinal users only.
